Where is this? #10

I am looking for the name of the building with the regtangular shaped black roof on the bottom right in this image.
It is of cultural significance.

Is this in a country that is a part of the British Commonwealth of Nations?

Do palm trees grow there

No.

No.

Does the country in question belong to NORAD…?

Is the Euro used here

No.

Yes.

I am posting another image.
Then I don’t feel so bad about having the building in question off center in the first one.

were the summer olympics ever held in this country

Does this location have anything to do with war?  i.e. memorial, museum…etc

Very good question, but the answer is no.  With questions like this I have confidence this will be solved soon.

Yes, it has something to DO with war, but don’t get trapped with this answer like with the WWII battle answer in #8.

Is world championship downhill skiing in this country

Yes, and that’s one of my favorite things to watch on TV.

The hills are alive with the sound of music.

I’m such a nerd.  I fired up Excel and listed the countries that used the Euro, then deleted any that had hosted the Summer Olympics.  When you mentioned Skiing, only Austria really stood out as a skiing kind of country.

Then I noticed the word “trap” and connected it!  Von Trapp!

This is the Villa in The Sound of Music.

Very good you swine lol  I was in hot persuit

You’ve got that one MIG.

It is Leopoldskron Palace near Salzburg.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopoldskron_Palace

I put quite  a few other hints in there:

‘Then I don’t feel so bad’ - from the “My Favorite Things” song, as well as 'one of my favorite things to watch on TV"

“I have confidence this will be solved soon.” another song is called “I have confidence”

“Yes, it has something to DO with war” the song “Do-Re-Me”

And of course the ‘trapped’ hint for the Von Trapp family
