Weather warnings everywhere but here

Well this doesn’t happen all that often so it’s worth commemorating, the Environment Canada map for BC is solid red from the Interior to the coast but the North coast is but a peaceful place… go figure…

Not sure why not, hurricane warning is about the whack us

Today Tonight and FridayHurricane force wind warning in effect.
Wind northerly 30 to 40 knots becoming northwest 30 late this evening then backing to southwest 25 to 30 after midnight. Wind increasing to south 30 to 40 near noon Friday and to southeast 55 to 65 Friday evening.

Down here on the Oregon coast, we’ve hardly seen the sun in 4 days.

Monday and Tuesday were gale force winds day and night. I stood on the beach in 60 mph wind. Yesterday was pretty heavy rain. It was clear overnight but we have a new storm coming onshore as I write. High wind warning begins in 45 minutes.

Saw some surfers heading down to the water earlier.
