yea, just clear your cookies before searching and it wont be tied to your gmail account if you’re paranoid.
If you are really paranoid like me using privoxy+tor via a VPN tunnel to a server overseas will also help.

I don’t get why the worry? Aren’t only people that search for porn on google really “at risk” of anything? I mean, yeah, the whole deal is bull and there’s no way google should ever have to turn over that information, but I think i’m missing something with the whole “clear your cookies” thing.

Is there something wrong with googling for porn? Or are you using the ‘only the guilty need to worry’ argument? Cuz I’ll answer with the ‘first they came for the trade unionists’ counter-argument.

People search for porn?

need i say more

Gmail adds a long life cookie to 2038 or something, essentially they can track what your account has searched for etc. This cookie stays on your computer even after you log out.
