Four passengers aboard a chartered helicopter are dead following a crash near Alice Arm, about 150 kilometres northeast of Prince Rupert.
“At approximately eight a.m. the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria received a call from B.C. Ambulance Service about a downed helicopter near Alice Arm. The helicopter crashed and was upside down in the Kitsault River,” said Second Lieutenant Jill Sterlieff of the rescue centre.
