As a former BC Tel employee I was impressed by your link, Dave. I too have noticed the instinctual herd-like mentality of cones to congregate like lemmings at points of great danger. I always wondered, seeing a ‘pride’ of cones huddled near every open manhole, marching off blindly into the ‘fast lane’, or steadfastly supporting an oversized candle amidst piles of soiled bell-bottoms and choking on bong fumes, how the cones have managed to survive as a species.
Nowaday I can drive my computer worktruck without fretting about my pet cones leaping off the bumper at highspeed and suiciding themselves under passing semis.
