Anyone who would buy a house at the prices today has more money than brains …disgusting and hard to believe what they are selling for now[/quote]
190,000 for an average house price does not seem disgusting to me. Kitimat and Terrace are both 100,000 more than Rupert. 190k mortgage at 3% is around 900 bucks a month.
What I find hard to believe is how many locals who lived here all there lives and knew they would never leave, and have decent jobs that never bought a house when they were almost giving them away and now bitch about the price of houses.
Still no development physically…outside of a partially dug up lot on the corner of 2nd Ave & McBride (that has not been touched in over 2 months)…anyone know anything else?
According to the July 24 Haida Gwaii Observer the Ministry of Highways refused some kind of required approval for the Prince Rupert A & W because the owner would not undertake a traffic study.

Which is a ridiculous requirement considering the bypass highway should be opening soon so the semi trailer traffic will be greatly reduced by the time it’s open.

how is it ridiculous to ensure traffic will not be negatively impacted on currently the only highway going through prince rupert? Can you imagine how your property values would be affected by people knowing there are traffic snarls in your once sleepy borough.
Also do you not know the terror you are inviting by having an A&W in your town? you can smell that place for miles. Why the combination of wood pellets and grade D beef/fry oil would surely cause house prices to plummet and drive you further into the depths of insanity.
one this about this place we always get held up on getting anything new because of red tape . seems we wrote the book on it between the city and other government departments
oh will do we really need more junk food that bad?
The problem is how this downtown was built from day 1. Look how much different Terrace is lad out for space wise. New business need to start moving away from the DT area.

Since I have become aware of the New World Order’s bombardment of chemtrails in our skies I have ceased to be concerned with local air pollution.
Im pretty sure you are joking because its not some diatribe about how your property values have declined but its really not that far out of the believable realm of possibilities.
