Summer in Edmonton

Check this piss out!

This was what Whitemud Drive looked like on Saturday. Numberous roads got flooded and the whole city came to a standstill.

Looks like someone had fun driving in the grass on the right.

What is that? Ice? Floating rocks?

It’s an Ice Flow on the Whitemud Drive.

That’s nuts. I thought it was June now.

Actually, it’s july.

I have heard of people losing track of the days of the week, but never months!
I went on a road trip through Alberta in the 90s and got trapped in winter weather. And to think I only packed a sweatshirt to keep me warm and there was no warm jackets to left be purchased at that time of year in department stores. It was crazy

Clue #1: “white mud drive”

When I go on long trips, wandering from one place to another, I totally lose track of the days. And two years ago, when I spent two months during the summer living in a tent in Dawson City (Yukon), I even lost track of what time of day it was. I mean, when you wander out of a bar at 2am and the sky is bright, it can be quite disorienting. And there were a few times I went to bed drunk and then woke up the next day, not knowing if I had slept the whole day, not knowing if it was really evening or morning…

Clock… :bulb:

Since you did not know you if you slept the whole day, who is to say that you also did not know if you slept with another man?

My world is about to be rocked again.

Tonight is a storm predicted to be as crazy as the last one we had. The wind went from Zero to Fuck Me Freddy in under one minute. The longest one has to wait between lightning striking is 3 seconds, multiple strikes a second being the norm.

Besides trees being knocked over and patio furniture disappearing, the best thing to come from this storm is me not having to work tomorrow.

I’ve done the drunk sleep thing, woken up and looked at my clock, and it said 2:00… so I figured, two in the afternoon, time to get up. So I got up and looked outside it was dark out. It was 2:00 am the next night, and I had missed an entire day.
