As for downloads, I got a 350 mb file downloaded in about 7 minutes or so last night. That’s unusually fast though; it all depends on who’s seeding the file of course.

Shaw Cable is faster in big centers but costs more than DSL.
5 years ago we had 46 dialup lines and a couple wireless businesses sharing a T1 (1.5-1.5)
Now we run two 4.5 DSLs, a 6.0 DSL, two fiber 10/10Mb and two microwave 10/10Mb, the town’s shrunk to under half the population and we’re overloaded everywhere. Shows how Net use is exploding.
