RCMP have cordoned off an area along Lower Road in Fort St. James to investigate suspicious findings.
Spokesman Sergeant Rob Vermeulen says it is too early in the investigation to release further details.
“We’ve gotta go through a very careful and thorough examination of the scene and once we do know what we’re dealing with, you know, we’ll get an update out.”
Local RCMP officers and North District Major Crime members are participating in the investigation.
Forensic investigators are also at the scene.
