Skate With the Rampage & Help the Food Bank

The Rampage are inviting all their fans to skate with the team on Sunday, November 26th at the Jim Ciccone arena, 2:45-4:15pm. Admission is by donation (food or cash) to the Salvation Army Food Bank.  Kids can meet the Rampage players who will be signing autographs and team photos, lots of treats thanks to Safeway, Overwaitea and Tim Hortons.  Santa has sharpened his skates and has promised to come. Skate rentals available at no charge thanks to the City who have also waived the ice costs.

Will definitely be a fun afternoon! See you there!

Just a note, Sunday is the 29th. Good thing the Lions aren’t in the Grey Cup might help with the turnout.

Thanks Smurfette for picking up my typo…have you got your skates sharpened??

The Rampage players had a great time this afternoon with the fans, the kids especially!  Lost count of how many, but had 150 team photos and not enough.  Fans ranged in age from babes in arms and toddlers on skates for the first time to granddparents.  One Grandpa had bought skates and admitted he hadn’t been on the ice for 20+ years…after a few minutes, he was racing the grandkids!  Santa got lots of exercise so should be in good shape for his trip in a few weeks.  He’s a pretty good skater much to the delight of the younger set. A truckload of groceries was taken to the food bank, and a cheque for the cash donations will be delivered this week- $150.  Thanks again to Tim Hortons, Safeway and Overwaitea for the treats.

Thank you to everyone for coming out and watch for the Rampage at the Winterfest parade on Saturday.
