Prince Rupert School District secretary/treasurer Cam McIntyre showed trustees a very preliminary budget for the 2010/2011 school year at the February 9 board meeting, a document that showed the district may need to use a surplus of over $500,000 that was carried over from the 2008/2009 school year in order to balance the books.
