So P&T SHIPPED pulp chips through the site, not supplied them - over two years ago and that is seen as the reason that ‘Ridley went down’?

…a bit of a stretch there (unless there is something else I’m missing which I’m sure someone will gloriously point out?)

So many rumors…so little time…where oh where does one get the truth?

Having had a chance to read the whole post, I have some questions. Who are the Comissionaires?..is this one of the guys I see toodling around in his shiny red truck?
I had a chance to talk with him a few weeks ago, and he seemed like a pretty decent sort.

Where did you her about the road being closed crip?..does this mean I can’t go play with my dog there any more?

Welcome hillbilly, let me be the first to flame thee…
Firstly did you really read the entire post, judging by your ignorance, I doubt it.
And  secondly, how the hell are we supposed to know the people that you are talking with? You should really be careful and not talk to strangers, even if his truck is shiny!

lmao

The ‘Corps of Commissionaires’ is a non-profit society that was founded in Canada after WWI (there are also branches in the UK and Australia) to employ veterans to provide unarmed security and related services. They are not affiliated with the government, but often provide services at public installations. Their members are ex-military. Their full dress uniform is a black, military style tunic and matching trousers and a peaked cap with a white top. Many wear ribbons to signify the award of medals and decorations for their participation in peacekeeping operations and conflicts. They are noted for their high standards of professionalism and courtesy to others, unlike some posters on HTMF.

Well done.

Not all are former enforcement or military professionals but you must possess an excellent employment record, clean criminal records check and above average communication skills.  They are always listing positions available and training is provided for new trainees. Anyone interested check out their website at [email protected]      Great career for those interested…

Thanks for the correction. The Commissionaires have adapted to the times. Sadly, the employment criteria that you list may disqualify some posters from a career with this fine outfit.

Tell us what you really think of us!

Heh-heh, well-said, MiG!  Creaking Door’s posts are absolute flame-bait.  Hilarious.

must also posess the skills for properly finishing a crossword or a soduko puzzle and nodding at people as they pass the security gate at the container port.its a decent job i couldnt ever think of it as a career tho lol

I know a couple of Commissionaires, and I have interacted with many of them all over the country.

And yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever come across a douchebag Commissionaire.  They’re always friendly, reasonable and professional.  Whatever the process is to become one, it seems to weed out the “respect mah authoritay!” types.  Let’s hope that doesn’t change.

But hey, maybe that’s just my experience with them.

yea ive never met a bad one just a boring job in my opinion lol

Beats a job as a Wal-Mart “meet and greet” person though  !!!

Ahhh…davechief…thou art too kind sir…and you have a way with words…not much of one, but a way none the less…thanks for the warm welcome…lol

thats a tough one at walmart they get to walk around push those carts

LOL…

Well, according to a posting on the Commissionaires’ web site for a position here they look for ‘Super Host’ among other qualifications. Perhaps that is what has been missing from the curriculum of the various security and enforcement agencies in this country. CBSA seems to present a surprisingly stern demeanor these days. There is something MIB about them that I cannot quite put my finger on.
