Reveen

I just saw Reveen at Tim Horton’s.

The Hypnotist guy?

That guy?

HaHa…I saw him about 7-8 years ago and there were so few people in the audience, maybe 20, he just walked off the stage !!  We thought it was part of the act, but hey, he never came back…Tooooooo Funny  !!!

Well then it should be a go for a show, as there’s usually more than 20 folks just standing outside of timmy’s on any given day!

I will take a picture of him next time.

Yeah, I saw him twice.  I think the first time was in '89 or '90 and it was packed.  Great show.  Tons of volunteers, lots of cool stuff going on, and everyone had a good time.

The second time was '91 and it was totally different.  There were maybe 100-150 people there, and barely enough volunteers for him to do the show.  He kept asking for more volunteers, but hardly anyone got up.  At one point he said “I should have gone with my instincts and not done the show.”  Even though he did, the volunteers wound up coming off stage one by one because they obviously weren’t actually hypnotized and were just faking it.  He wound up only doing half the show because by intermission there were only two people left on stage.

The next day’s show was canceled, for “family reasons”, but I get the feeling that he didn’t want to repeat the disaster from the first time.  I wouldn’t say he’s a bad performer though.  My guess is that most people in town had already seen him the first time and so didn’t want to go again, so he couldn’t get the numbers he needed.

One thing I’ve always wondered: do people really get hypnotized at these things, or are they just playing along because they think they should, and just want to use being on stage and “under the spell” as an excuse to do stuff they normally couldn’t get away with?

Raveen at Tim Horton’s!!! What next…Elvis, Michael Jackson at Subway…!!!

I remember back in the 80’s some hypnotist dood called Raelean or something like that.

I was at that show as well.  Yes.  He certainly had a hard time getting volunteers to come up on stage.

Next time you are in Tim Horton’s, look around and think Reveen and you will see him.

Lol, there’s a cab driver in town that looks similar to this reveen guy…
