Must be a union break
Decker: I was thinking the same thing…
Safe to say that the Coons campaign wins the riding
Be interesting to see how much of the vote has been parked with the Greens
rather surprised at the lower vote count for the Pond campaign, thought he would make things closer than four years ago

I would love to see Girbav beat Pond… anyway she is doing well and spend little on signs :-P
Yes she has done quite well, though I think she benefited a bit from the vote that didn’t feel comfortable with either NDP or Liberal, convenient parking spot, not to detract from her campaign which was quite well done
I think all those signs (especially with his face on them) worked against Herb. But the night isn’t over yet.
I agree that some Liberals who thought Herb was a bit un-Liberal (ie: buying the cable company, raising taxes, etc) would probably have voted Green.

We have scrutineer results at Fish Hall of more than half the polls. Elections BC needs to catch up

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Interesting to see how slow the results from the North Coast riding are coming in. Anyway, another network - CTV has declared a Liberal Majority … with a majority of 47-49 seats to 36-38 for the NDP. They have also declared the STV dead. Not even close to a majority of votes overall, nor anywhere close in the required ridings.
Not sure what this means for Rupert - another Liberal Government (majority) and another NDP MLA in Prince Rupert. Perhaps more slow times for Rupert and area?
Voter turnout ranges from 49% - 52% incredibly low voter turnout. Closer to 60% 4 years ago.
Man they sure count faster in Terrace they already have counted62 of 81 ballot boxes

It’s a shame that the politicians haven’t figured out that if they are constantly doing poorly in a riding, that they might want to pay more attention to that riding instead of less.
