I wouldnt rule out amazon for some furniture. My next purchase will probably be one of these:

wow thank you! I keep forgetting that amazon carries those larger items and free shipping on some items… i imagine one day third ave will be even more empty

No problem. If you buy one before I do please post a picture/video of the opening process. I hear it comes shipped in an impressively small vacuum packaged box/bag. 600.00 for a california king seems like a pretty rad deal to me though. Lots more mostly positive reviews for the same item on amazon.com as well so I assume its a decent item.
