I’ve heard from different people that Rain lost their liquor license? Does anyone know what that is all about?
if it did thats good . brian has the personality of stump
… I haven’t heard nothing like that…are they open or no… Wonder if the cops finally caught over service in the act. heheheh I have heard between the rain the commercial and the Moby’s that the police are watching them for over service, cause they have caught the Underground,Belmont and Commercial a few times
hahaha
100% agree with you
he has issues with serving to minors , waiting a couple of hours to serve you a half plate of food so you drink more than u wanted , accusing people of stealing shot glasses when they spend $250 in the night , heard rumors of drugs , after hours poker. but thats just my opinion lol
Haven’t been there in a while but when I was the food was great, not sure about the personality thing, he came over and talked with my friends and I while eating there a couple times.
all this talk is just kind of funny, I mean, if I go to safe way or extra foods and spend $300+ on food will that make it okay for me to grab a couple things on the way out? if you spend $250 in a night on alcohol and get so wasted you start stealing things from the bar… come on…
no clue what over service is, but to me it was a pretty simple question… rupert rumours, did Rain lose their liquor license… I don’t think they did a friend of mine works there and I think they would have said something.
but then again I could be wrong, as it’s been a while since I have had any time off from work I haven’t been there since spring time i’d imagine.
If Rain had in-fact lost their liquor licence, there would be big, noticable signs on the doors stating the fact. The Publik in Prince George (the pub at the corner of the Treasure Cove Hotel and Casino) had their liquor licence suspended the last time I stayed there. The Publik had lost their licence for serving to minors, and there were large signs on the front doors, and inside the establishment stating they weren’t serving alcohol at that time.

i never said i stole anything i said i was accused of stealing shot glasses that he served to me after he screwed up our meals and i dont even drink shots . was drinking beer why not give me what i drink to fix the problem . my girlfriend and friend drank the shots and they fell on my jacket so he accused me of stealing his “40$” shot glasses .
I agree … I went there a couple times more or less within a year of opening and have never gone back and never will
There are big changes happening there, that’s for sure… Give it a couple of weeks, then check it out! You may be pleasantly suprised!
Give me a break…“fell on your jacket” …
Rain is one of the best establishments in Rupert…Brian does a good job of keeping the rubbies out…
I always go there, like the people, like the atmosphere… never really had a big problem…
Definition of a Rubby
A drunk with money is an alcoholic, a drunk with no money is a rubby.
believe whatever you want , call me a rubby i dont care i know what i am . you may get along with brian but i know a good percentage of people that hold the same opinion of him as i do . they arent rubbies or thieves either. i guess your perfect and have never been acussed of something you didn’t do in your perfect world.

Non-sequitor. It doesn’t take a winning personality to run a successful business - in fact the opposite seems to be the case in this town.
I was walking by Rain the on Sunday … they were open for business and no signs about the liquor licence. Now the Casino should lose their licence for overserving. The number of people pie eyed to the point of not being able to stand … coincidence that the PUBLIK ( and the Treasure Cove) and the Casino here are owned by the same people?
I’ve never had problem with Brian, but I do believe he has The Rain for sale, so that he can concentrate on the charter fishing business. So maybe the rumour of losing his liquor license has something to do with him possibly having sold the business and is transfering the license. This is just supposition on my part.
Huzzah for Prince Rumour… well it’s after 4pm, they are open… did anyone think to phone down and ask?
Maybe he is selling his Liquor License to Chances why not they are going to make The Rinse into a Bigger drinking hole anyway. They seem to be on a roll and will eventually have a Monoply on that industry and addiction.
Time will tell what happens, but…This is Rupert Rumors. Maybe it is someone else loosing their liquor license, as for that damn casino, they want you drunk so that you accidentally push the more “expensive” price on the slots and Bid WAY higher then you should LMAO~
