Problems with CityTel email lately?

… and I wondered at that time (approximately a year ago) why they hadn’t bulk emailed everyone instead of just announcing it in a mailout …

I always wished I could register just POP3 and SMTP as server names, going by the number of systems I had to fix Outlook on…

enter name of POP3 server POP3

enter name of SMTP server SMTP

username Gladys G. Smith@POP3.mail@mydomain.com

/ outgoing server requires authentication
/ encrypted password
/ hang up on send and recieve
/ disconnect if idle longer than 1 minute
/ dial own number so you can bitch to tech lines are always busy

and my fave: Outlook 2003, where after spending $500 for OFFICE you can block a sender but not a domain or wildcard. woo woo! I had to block 500 seperate users sending “herbie you could be an FBI agent”

GATESIAN FILTERING: If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck and is exactly the same size as a duck, but it comes from a different place, IT HAS TO BE THE GOLDEN GOOSE!

When i had internet there, i remember our receiving address being pop.citytel.net. Maybe we were given a different account type?
