Prince Rupert fares better than most from latest winds

While the city’s annual Halloween fireworks display was a casualty of last nights windy conditions, for the most part Prince Rupert and Port Edward had a pretty easy night of things compared to other areas of the province.

Haida Gwaii seems to have borne the brunt of the storm of Sunday night, with reports of downed power lines and the closure of Highway 16 between Skidegate and Port Clements.

Prince George also has had weather related issues stemming from the overnight winds, with power out in a number of locations in and around the city.
