Nice! Mine is completely covered in a frozen layer of mud, dirt and salt. I would post some pics, but apparently I broke my camera. My Firebird is getting an alarm installed in a week or twoā¦ I probably wonāt wash it before dropping it off at the shop
Itās not a Delorean. Itās a Bricklin. After all, Iām in New Brunswick now!
I watched a docu-drama about that car yesterday. It will be on French CBC sometimes this winter. I will let you guys know because there is enough English spoken in the film to get the general idea. It has some humour and is a bit corny but boy that car was a real car.
I painted the rims too. Actually only the two front onesā¦ I ran out of paint and became lazy and just pressure washed the ones on the rear til they looked decent. I want some BBS rims from the old Volkswagen GTI, theyād look sexy on my Jetta.
BTW, Mig, I know you drive a Cabriolet. Although they have no Cabbies on the site, check dubmodder.com, itās pretty fun.
I drove the car off the lot for $300 and since then Iāve:
Reset Timing
New O2 Sensor
New CVs
Selective paint work (Canāt wait to do the whole dealio)
Restored plastic trim parts
Had exhaust holes welded up, maybe a new muffler soon
Some new windows because some were broken
Pioneer 6x9 Triaxals in the rear, 1 JVC 5 1/4" in the door panel, 1 Pioneer 3 1/2" in the dash, and a 10" Kenwood Sub in the trunk (Iām at a transition timeā¦)
New Interior
Major Interior Cleaning
New Rubber
E-Brake
Speedo Cable / Gear
Gaskets, Filters, etc.
Thatās like 1/2 of it, I havenāt really kept track of all the work Iāve done but I love my car, despite how often Iāll find myself riding it real hard and asking whether or not itāll just blow up one day. After all, itās got 330,000kms on it, and could be more considering the odometer wasnāt working when I bought it.

your car suffers from the same issues mine does is a miserable old bagā¦ I tend to use a certain C word to describe it but the ladies donāt like that word When my transmission went people said to get rid of my car but i spent 3k because I love my car. Youāve got about 100 000km more than me though i want to make my odometer roll over to 0
Steve do you really think itās smart having your speakers and amp exposed in the rear window like that? Thats just BEGGING for some fucktard to come along and break out a window for that stuff.
Cover that shit up! On my way to Calgary, I stopped in Kamloops for Halloween. My bike, hydaration pack, and back pack came inside with me. In the morning, my dash was ripped apart, my Clarion CD player was gone, my flight bag with all of my licenses, $900 headset, iPod and flight computers and logbook was gone, my collection of about 150 DVD/DIVX discs, all of my new clothes, dress shirts, parasuco jeans, and jackets were gone, and my tools, cell holder, battery, cables and who knows what else I havnāt even thought of yet was all gone. They were decent enough to leave the passenger side door open and soak one of my favorite t-shirts in chemical to wipe the car down when they leftā¦ ICBC would cover broken plastic and the CD player, but I was on my way to Calgary and they couldnāt fit me in for an appointment for a couple of days. The RCMP also wouldnāt come by that day. Needless to say, I drove to Calgary anyway and nothing has been or will be replaced becuase if I missed my course, I would be out another $250 bucks. So I lost about $4000 in stuff, not to mention valuable backups of data, photos and other sentimental stuff on the DVDs and iPod Iāll never see again. For $300 dollars, ICBC will replace my 2 year old CD player which originally cost $308 dollars after taxesā¦
So cover that shit up! I made the mistake of leaving the faceplate on that night. Everything else was in the hatchback under a wool blanket. Out of sight and out of mind. Iām sure if I took off the faceplate, Iād still be able to fly and I wouldnāt be flat broke, without music, clothes and movies.
