The road from Galoway to SPCA turnoff is being repaved,a sure sign of an election year.
I drive this part of the hwy every single day, sometimes several times and compared to previously and many other hwys in the province it really doesn’t seem that bad, and was done only a few years ago if I remember correctly? I am not certain this is the best use of $3.5M. They should think about building a truck by-pass route to the Fairview container port so that all the trucks coming and going do not have to go through the middle of downtown.
Adventure paving is the principal contractor so it will probably have to be done again in a few years.
I think they should have went a little but further…to at least Mcbride bridge. The road is falling apart in places from Prince George Street to McDonalds.
by the time the second or third phase of the port is done they will be out at ridley and wont need a port bypass road. should use the money to fix roads in town tho the highway in that portion of the road seems just fine actually
My point exactly, in an election year, pave the most visible portion, don’t pave the section that really needs it.
