On Friday morning the 2010 Organizing Committee, VANOC, announced the route for the Olympic Torch Relay and it includes two stops on the North Coast before the start of the games.
The Torch will arrive in Queen Charlotte on day five of the relay, scheduled for November 3, 2009, before heading up to Whitehorse. It will stop in both Terrace and Prince Rupert on day 95 of the relay, scheduled for February 1, 2010, with a community celebration scheduled for that evening in Prince Rupert.
