Obama story in New Yorker

I dwell on this in full on the podunkian blog, but for those that are US political junkies, here’s an interesting article from The New Yorker…

It has gained an awful lot of attention due to the controversial cover art on the magazine cover, which is resulting in the Obama camp calling foul on the portrayal of the candidate and his wife.

The article itself is pretty good, it’s a fairly in depth examination of his political career through the streets of Chicago and on to Washington.

Give it a read and decide if it’s a well rounded article or perhaps a hatchet job on his rise to prominence…

Ok, weird trivia time…

How did the Borg help Obama become the Democratic presidential nominee?

Redirection of Menino campaign donations in Boston, towards the Obama campaign?

Close!  Resistance is futile!

I’m assuming it has something to do with the Hillary Clinton = the Borg Queen gag.

Nah, it’s the connection to 7 of 9.

She was married to Obama’s opponent in the 2004 Illinois senate race – Jack Ryan.  The leaking of their divorce details forced him to drop out of the race, crushing any hope the Republicans had of winning.

LOL, well I was wandering off in a different dimension… :unamused:
