No tax increase in Port Edward this year

While the City of Prince Rupert gave three readings to a Five Year Financial Plan that included a 3.8 per cent tax increase, the District of Port Edward says there will be no increase for its residents.

“Due to the tough economic times, Council has decided not to increase taxes this year. However, some home owners may see a small increase/decrease due to assessed values,” says a letter addressed to residents from mayor Dave MacDonald.
