Local 514 of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) met once more with federally appointed mediators on Friday, but an agreement between the two parties was not reached.
According to information released by the BCMEA, they tabled a comprehensive response to the Union’s proposals dated January 3, and the two sides will meet to continue discussions on January 15.
