Missing Cat

I’m wondering if anyone has seen my cat, he’s an indoor cat but must have escaped somehow. I’m sick about it because he’s really shy and scared of everything, I can’t imagine how freaked out he must be right now. He’s a neutered male, about a year old, really fluffy and kind of chubby. His name is Tommy and he responds to that kissy sound cats like. But he might not come to you since he is really really shy. I found him as a tiny feral kitten and he never really got over it. He has a tattoo in his right ear that you can’t see because he’s got so much hair in there. If you see him please let me know, I’m broken hearted. Went missing on 7th West on the end nearest the library.

He is so beautiful and I am sure he will be home soon. Put a little food, his favorite outside, around the area or even walk around with it calling him. I did that one night my little gal got out, indoor cat, but ran off for some reason when I went out to the car. Diabetic too! I walked around all night calling her, finally decided to get a little sleep, woke up, went outside and she was coming around the corner. Happy reunion, have to say ! Chin up, lots of folks around that area who will keep an eye out. Probably scared and hiding not far away at all . Keep us posted please. Great he has a tattoo.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. You were right, we was hiding near the house. My dog sniffed him out for me! All is well again.

That is great news

Oh, I am so happy for you ! Thank you for the update, checked here once or twice and hoped there would be good news ! Made my day and for sure , yours !! “Tommy”, you deserve lotsa treats and don’t wander again, the world is not always a nice place for our furry family !! Cheers !

I hope you find your cat; he is beautiful. But you should know that somebody down on 8th East close to McBride has been trapping them and dumping them off in Port Ed and out the highway.

Take a drive out that way and see if you see anything along the road.

I rescued one last year. Cost me about $300 in vet fees. He was a head on a stick when he first came but has porked right up. Good cat.

They, thankfully, did find their cat, posted earlier on here the good news! Do we know who this person is who is trapping these cats and if so, why has nothing been done or is that a stupid question? I’m happy to hear you have a rescue, they are awesome pets!! Grateful as hell to have a loving home!

Why are they trapping cats and relocating them? Probably think all cats who are outside, are ferrel. Or they hate cats, or they’re just idiots. Maybe alot of the cats out the highway aren’t from owners abandoning them, but from some idiot relocating them.

I have heard about cats being dumped out on the highway, and that was one of the things I was worrying about last night. They’re toast out there with wolves and starvation and cars. What a terrifying, drawn out way to go. How I want to catch that person in the act. But then what happens to him/her? I’ve got a bunch of rescues, dogs and cats, and have rescued for years, and I’ve seen some pretty terrible things done to animals with absolutely no consequence to the abusers. It frustrates me to no end.
So glad to have Tommy safe and sound, and he’s been keeping his distance from the door today. Thanks again!

Actually, I think it’s 9th East close to McBride - there is someone with a history of trapping cats and relocating them to the Port Ed trailer park, out the highway & God only knows what else. There maybe one on 8th East too but hadn’t heard about that idiot. There is a guy on 8th East however that traps the feral cats in his area, spays / neuters, shots etc. and lets them live in his yard. Very kind!

I heard that a woman is trapping the feral cats, taking them in to get neutered and then releasing them - all on her own dime… I heard that she feeds as many as she can and keeps them, too as the above comment states. I ran into some of the traps along the edge of a no longer used sports field… I am wondering if the food used to trap the cats and the cats, themselves are attracting the large number of wolves I have seen in the area in the last two years… No good deed goes unpunished

maybe some one should think about keeping there cats on there on property an not transport a lot of cats into a neighboud an then let them run rampant into other peoples yards gardens lawns etc helping is one thing but letting these things get otta hand and infringe on there neighboyurs is not right and its against the law to relocate an animal trapping cats an taking them to the vet o to be put down or to the spca to be put down is not cruel its humane
do u know what the life expencty of a ferrel cat is
well its 2 years full of desiese and hunger an hurt an pain
congrats to those that put them otta their misery
