Major U.S. franchise eyes Rupert for expansion

When Aaron’s Sales and Lease, the 58th largest franchise chain in the world according to Entrepreneur Magazine, decided to undertake an aggressive expansion across Canada, it targeted Prince Rupert as one of the communities that it wanted to open up shop in as soon as possible.

Not another furniture/appliance store!

This is OLD news.

Do they have a lot of cheque-cashing places in Rupert? If so, this is the kind of store that goes along with them. It’s all about renting furniture and appliances, where people with bad credit end up paying 3 or 4 times the price for an item.

These sort of stores are a total rip-off.  And I think we have enough furniture stores in town.  If anything, that is one type of store we’re not lacking!
