Lotsa Fur!

Those stairs across from the ocean mall, go up a bit further and there is a lot of thick strange fur in that area.  Grey-ish brown type of fur.  Really lots too…looks like some sort of animal got its butt kicked or something.

hhahahaha, look in my front yard, and it looks like a dog got its ass kicked, the fur is from my Huskie. It is that time of season I Guess, cause I have seen it around all week…

lol Yah…that time of year for them animals I guess.

Or a wolf shedding its fur?  Or is it too late in the season for that?

I heard a rumour maybe it is for real but a cougar killed a timber wolf on on of the streets this past weekend and the RCMP were going to take the wolf to wild life shelter but they said it was too far gone so they or someone destroyed it. Heard that in Tim’s this morning at the Bucket List Club table.

HOLY, well, I hope that this is just a rumor, cause that would be REALLY scary!

My g.d. cat isn’t full grown and every 2 days when we empty the vacuum cylinder it’s half fur!
And the wee beasty got chomped in the leg so he’s confined indoors on anti-biotics for another few days.

Yikes…hope ya cat gets well.  The trail of fur is really strange and all; it goes for about 12-15 feet along side the walk way, on both sides.

I guess then it wouldn’t just be a dog owner brushing out their pet and leaving the fur if there is that much around…I wonder what is happening…

I’ve seen piles of fur much like that before out on Wantage Road from when a deer was killed.

Might that be an explanation for it?

Could be, but why would the trails of fur be on both sides of the walk way?  Looks like huge dust bunny’s.  That’s the kinda thickness and puffyness it is.  Grey-ish brown.

Well it wasn’t me. I do all my Yak shaving in the Fort…

lol…well I sure hope someone can snap a pic of it b4 the rain comes.    :frowning:

I betcha it was a dog owner brushing their dog, some dogs can get those mats of hair… And when we brush our labrador retreiver with the dog rake groom thing we have, it creates clouds of hair and they float around in the air for a bit before landing wherever…

So it’s quite possible.
Here’s what we use to brush our dog.

Yeah, that is probably it…Use to have a Newfie (the dog, that is !) and his undercoat used to leave clouds of fur everywhere when he was brushed…See a great deal of fur down at Kwinitza also…That time of year with the weather as temperamental as it is…

ya, see we use the shedding blade and the Furminator, and the FUR IS INSANE!!! hope nothing really happened :frowning:

I think this trail cam photo might suggest the explanation:

Ok, lets see if we can end the speculation.

I present!  The strange FUR!  lol
