Local news, but for which locality?

It was with that declaration that the era of a new more community involved Daily News was launched back in February, a change in perceptions it seemed away from the prospect of a litany of the negative and a turn towards the more positive, the uplifting features of our community…

Yeah. Remember when the Daily News led the cheerleading on how China Paper was going to restart the mill, and how the new container port was going to make Rupert a boom town? Yeah, that really helped the community a lot. Let’s just put our heads in the sand and smile like folks at a Billy Graham show.

Meanwhile, Podunkian, you’ll note a story on Dr. Greeff has run in today’s paper!

Yes I saw that, good to see that they at least covered the honour to Dr. Greeff, still don’t quite understand how they would think that the story on the Fort St. John doctor was more important, but then I’m not in the news business.

Though if they wish to catch up on some other events from last week, they’re always welcome to browse through the blog whenever they wish… :wink:  wouldn’t mind an acknowledgement though should they find something of interest… :smiley:
