From all I have read on here about the RCMP, there should have been a bloodletting of some sort.
I’m pretty sure policy would have allowed for it. Now lets keep this subject going for 5 or 6 pages on how the RCMP did NOT over react.
No, no … people are more interested in things going wrong … citizens die or are injured in custody, rights are violated, tapes mysteriously erased … that sort of thing … quite right to comment on those situations, at length if warranted … they’re matters of grave concern …
Sometimes politicians actually listen and say, hang on, what’s this about? … and appoint commissions of inquiry to make some suggestions …
What crossed my mind looking at that tape … and from other observations … is that the police must not be making as much use as they could of their free recreation passes… or going to the green gym for especially bracing work-outs …
