Nice to see that the Harper Cons who thought it just fine to bring Ann Coulter to Canada to speak on why Muslim countries be invaded, their leaders killed and all Muslims converted to Christianity, have been forced to allow Canadians to hear a different viewpoint. Mind you it’s a sad day for Canada that we have to go to our supreme court to uphold Canadian’s rights to hear all sides of an issue and to judge for themselves.

Galloway was armed with a ruling by a Federal Court judge, who this week criticized the federal government for announcing in 2009 that Galloway would be prevented from coming to Canada.
Justice Richard Mosley called the move “a flawed and overreaching interpretation of the standards under Canadian law for labelling someone as engaging in terrorism or being a member of a terrorist organization.” Galloway had planned a Canadian speaking tour to voice opposition to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but cancelled when he learned he would be denied entry.
The federal government accused him of supporting terrorism and the Canada Border Services Agency said he wouldn’t be allowed into Canada. Kenney, at the time, said Galloway had expressed sympathy for the Taliban in Afghanistan and provided financial aid to the Palestinian group Hamas, which Ottawa considers a terrorist organization. Galloway said he’ll go into more details about the “searing” and “surreal” turn his life took after Kenney deemed him a security risk when he speaks Sunday in Toronto. The speech will also focus on how the Canadian government is using anti-terrorism as an excuse to suppress legitimate political debate, he said. By trying to keep him out of Canada, Kenney has only managed to attract more attention to his anti-war views, Galloway said. “He’s damaged Canada’s reputation,” he said.
“I don’t know if it’s because he’s a fool or a knave. I’m not sure which would be worse, but I am sure that Canada deserves better than that.”
