Here’s a new one, sent to me by a guy using it way out the boonies and bitching that 4.7Mb up and down isn’t good enough.

If you really want to whine, use it. It returns shitty results no matter what.
Using speakeasy to Seattle i read 11 down and up
Using speedtest to Van I read 9.5 doan and 6.5 up
Using speedtest to Rupert I read 9.1 down and 1.2 up
Using internetfrog I got 1.4 down and 1.7 up, an 8% QoS rating and they list the first ping which is always shitty to give you more to complain about. Plus a testpage covered in ads for ‘better internet’ from 100 other companies…
I did all the tests in tabs, starting one, going to the next tab and starting it etc. so they all completed checks within 2 minutes of each other at 4pm a busy time.
Repeated the frog thing a few times and never read over 2.3 even though it was tied directly into a Telus fiber.
His computer loaded with spyware!or maybe…lol.doing a test while downloading!LMAO!
Actually the guy complaining was testing from his workstation, however thru a router that serves three offices and a 20 station computer lab.
But he says it was on a Sunday so it shouldn’t matter.
No one would have left an infected computer on, or running bit torrent. Yeah right…
