Well, the more the links are seen, the more google juice they get. If they spam 100 boards in a day, maybe 5 or 6 won’t catch them and then they have 5 or 6 links to their site. That increases their google rank.

Google tracks wether we SEE the links or not?? Or is it just if you click on it?

Google knows if the links are there. And the more you reply to them, the more they show up. The spammers don’t care if you click them or not. They just want Google to see them.

And if they’re linked from the front page of this site, Google will see them.

You can tell when Google has seen a page on HTMF, since it adjusts the google ads to the topic.

Lol, I don’t see google ads.

I got tired of all the other sites with the flashing blinging beeping buzzing annoying ads. So I got Adblock plus for firefox.

That’s ok, even though you don’t see Google Ads, they see you just fine.

Also, it’s ironic to block Google ads with Firefox. Mozilla is largely funded by … Google Ads. Google gives the Mozilla foundation lots of cash in return for driving ad traffic.
