No there is a new guy in Prince George C3imports who brings them in and resells them at sensible prices.
THe pic is actually the one I went to buy last Sunday, only to discover I had been beaten by a couple hours by 2 brothers who bought two of them. Talk about small world, one of the brothers lives 2 blocks from me! Had to wait until mine was inspected, registered, etc.

So I’m ‘tootling’ home from PG last night at a cozy 80kmh (they will do 100 but that’s revving pretty high in my books) and an oncoming cop whips on the lights and siren! The road’s empty, and I pull to the right and start to stop and the cop swings way over to my side, cuts the lights and siren and yells “Hey slow down, eh? HAHAHAHA!!!” then drives off!
(The guy who sold it to me was working on a turbocharged Suzuki Sambar in the garage. Looks much the same but not as much clearance and the engine is at the very back like the old VWs. Mitsi’s are mid-engine with way more options like lift-kits, plows, turn the box into a dump, etc)

The Mini Trucks are fun to drive. I drive mine for several years now and I tell you how I got mine. I had 2 Gerry cans the heavy duty metal kind, kicking around my basement. for more than 30 years. I have filled them with gasoline when I used to go hunting. So I have sent the 2 cans to Mitsubishi. Motors Corp. Japan. This is an old company with expertise to create vehicles. Guess what, after an 8 week wait there was a Pajero Mini with a 3cyl 600cc water cooled engine 6std shift, sitting in my driveway with a note attached “ What you want us to do with the other can?â€

Took the stepson dow a quad trail for a Fathers Day ride and one side was up to the flatbed in water, the mud over the damn wheels. Thought we were hooped but the damn thing chewed its way through with mud a’flyin !
So of course we immediately turned around (within the quad trail) and chewed our way back through. Unreal, it only has the little M&S tires still.
Ran it up Murray Ridge, almost a straight 5 mile climb, 2 on loose rock and she climbed like a trooper.
I’ve been warned that once the lift kit is in it will climb a wall, but coming down not to touch the brake as they have a tendency to stand right up on their head.
I am seriously considering a trip to Japan to buy up a container or two of these things. I could sell half a dozen right here by hunting season.
I saw one of those ripping around Smithers this weekend… it was pretty cute! I’d be scared driving it as is though… it looks like it could flop forwards pretty easily!
