Well, I can answer from the Newfoundland cultural perspective. I believe for the last 500 years or so, parents in Newfoundland have encouraged their kids to use remote start fobs to start their vehicles as early as 2 years old.
Of course, this is also the age at which we have traditionally taught kids to change tires for unfortunate German tourists.
