Does Stephen Harper Think We're Retarded?

So days after the BS about spending billions for prisons to house criminals no one knows about, he supports seismic testing in the Arctic and wants us to believe it’s NOT for oil exploration!

tinyurl.com/2cvb49l

Ah we’re supposed to believe they can’t use sonar, side-scans, etc.? The Yanks haven’t already mapped the whole thing? What?

short answer. Yes.

Long answer. Absolutely.

He also changed regulations that now say when three or more are involved in a crime, it becomes organized crime with the attendant increase in sentence.

He is a superb leader. I suppose we will have to disagree on this one.

[quote=“jesus”]short answer. Yes.

In your case, I think Steven Harper is correct.

That’s funny. I back up my statements and can show facts. Can you?

Nope because you’re tarded. It’s ok my ex wife was tarded and shes a pilot now.

Really, what is the point?

This board is infested with socialists. Any time there is any political discussion or comment, it always ends up the same. Ideology over reasoning, blind assumptions and hatred over understanding. Conservatives = bad. NDP = good. Duh.

I have been on other boards where the predominant way of thinking is more towards the Rush Limbaugh/Ann Coulter/Glenn Beck version of dumbed-down “thought”. Honestly it looks to me like the two sides have more in common with each other than they would care to admit. Choose a political affiliation, then follow it blindly right or wrong. Demonize anyone who disagrees with you. No room for shades of grey. Definitely no nuances and you are not allowed to have different takes on different issues. For example it is definitely not allowed to be pro-gay marriage and pro universal healthcare but also pro-law and order and anti-big government. No, you need to vote the party line all the way.

Here is a challenge for you. Try looking at issues with an independent mind. Try to understand the different sides of any issue. Try to ignore what “they” want you to think, instead really try and think for yourself. I know it will be hard, it may have been many years since you have done this, but try. As a special challenge, see if you can manage to hold a viewpoint that is contrary to your own self-interest.

Anyway best of luck.

Yes! Real card carrying dyed in the wool Socialists! Right here live!
Even some who voted for Joe Clark and Mulroney, but would NEVER vote Tory today.

Okay champ. I’ve voiced my political opinions on here once and if you were to read the topic I support no political party. I think they are all a bunch of thieving pieces of shit. hundreds of thousands of dollars in ‘expenses’ seems a ‘bit’ excessive and I dont care which party you are part of.

I have my own ideas of the way things should be run and they align with no political party/politician but thats because I dont think a position as an elected representative should be designed for pigs looking to feed at the public trough.

That being said. Just because you’ve been called out on your baseless factless statements repetitively does not mean we’re the socialist hordes in fact I’d bet you’d find it to be quite the contrary. The idea that more prisons are needed to house prisoners from unreported crimes is pure bullshit. I’m not opposed to new prisons I’m opposed to being lied to and mr gays statement was a bold faced lie.

I’m in danger of going on a rant here so I’m going to cut myself off and say take your ball and go home whiner. Nobody cares about your conservative rhetoric or the sexual favors Mr day owes you for your continued allegiance.

I think you can start modelling that type of posting yourself. Good idea.

And you can knock off this kind of stuff, if you expect everyone else to do the same:

Generalization, demonizing, and making some blind assumptions yourself, eh? Some hatred over understanding going on there?

So if you want us to think that Stephen Harper is a great leader, then let us know why you think so.

Hi Sarah Palin.

Thanks for the laugh this morning Gum. I appreciate the irony of your advice gven your consistent failure to back up your rhetoric with facts.

Well no wonder he thinks we’re the retarded ones, he’s completely bloody psychotic!
We’ve know about a boatload of Tamil refugees on their way here for weeks, and what does he do? Sends the Navy out to escort them in safely instead of making them turn around. Prepares accommodation for them all ahead of time.
Now you can agree with me re: turning them around like the Aussies did or not. The question is How does this fit with a Law and Order tirade that’s gone on incessantly since El Harpo got into power? How? We’re not obligated to treat them as potential refugee claimants until they land, so we HELP THEM MAKE AN ILLEGAL ENTRY? And now, yeah, we’re fucking obligated!
COULD IT BE he simply wants to suuuuccckkkkk up to those 200,000 Tamils already here in Toronto and maybe win an actual seat in Canada’s biggest city for the first time ever? Shhhhhhllluuuurrrrrrrppppppp! Shhhhhlllluuuurrrrpppp!
Prime Minister Hoover!!!
