Rail traffic on the CN northern mainline is expected to resume by ten o’clock tonight, that after a derailment closed the rail line east of Prince George for the majority of the day, resulting in delays for freight service to the Port of Prince Rupert and the cancellation of a VIA run to Prince Rupert.
Just after 4 am this morning, 16 fully loaded coal cars left the tracks between Jasper and Prince George, leaving crews to work through the day to clear up the spill and return the line to service…
