This is a guess and only a guess. If Herb plays his cards right, he will run in the 2008 election for his seat as Mayor just like Jack Talstra did in Terrace. If he keeps his seat as Mayor, he has nothing to loose if he runs for the MLA in 2009. He can still keep his seat as Mayor while running for the MLA since there is nothing in the Community Charter that prevents it. Although to me it isn’t the most ethical thing to do, Herb hasn’t really showed much ethics so far.
So if all this speculation on Herberts run for a provincial seat were to be true, and he happend to win, then we can expect that all the canvasing for money on our behalf by Herbert will come to fruition.
