DCOM Exploit

Hello everyone - I am getting lots of DCOM Exploit messages from my firewall.

I’ve got two computers hooked up to a Netgear Ethernet Hut, and I’m getting hammered by DCOM Exploits on my Workstation.

The two systems have identical security software installed, so I think it’s an isolated event - my computer.

Who shall I contact about this particular event?

What kinda firewall ?

Comodo Firewall

Also I made an error in my original post, Avast Antivirus is detecting the DCOM Exploits.

It’s usually a virus on your own computer. Or a virus on a computer that is on your LAN. Scan with secondary antivirus, disable DCOM (as below) and run Malwarebytes. Do so in safe mode and in normal mode on any machines attached to your LAN.

Check your keygens, cracks and ISO’s first and foremost. :stuck_out_tongue:

Disable DCOM

1.Go to Start > Run, type ‘regedit’ and hit Enter
2.Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\OLE
3.Change the value of EnableDCOM from Y to N
4.Restart Windows
