Childrens Fest is just around the Corner and we are in need of Volunteers and organizers to run an event.

Childrens Fest 19th annual Saturday March, 6th 2010 11AM - 4PM

we need volunteers the for:

-night before 6 to 11 for set up
-to run or organize an event the day of
-for take down from 4 - 10 at the end of the day

it is a fun filled day for family and friends

The children festival gets a grant as in kind by the city and is run by
the special events committee,this money goes to pay for the use of civic
center.

yes but that does not help us get volunteers to run the events that money has to be spread out through all 4 events we have in a year and belive me that was not enough. and they expect us to do more than just the 4 we do I dont think so. Our board of directors is very small as it is and no we are not paid for what we do it is by Volunteering our time and energy plus also having to juggle family, work and other stuff so that is why we reach out tothe communitty  every year to give us a hand even just give us a few hours each. We are not doing all this work for our selfs we do it for our Community because we care and love to see everyone come together and have fun.

DO you guys still have those animal costumes?

I love wearing those things! (I’ve volunteered before)

We have borrowed the costumes from Progressive steel if any  one wants to volunteer for that;
we have Dora the explorer, Boots, Oscar the Grouch, Big Bird, and Ratatoulle. also we are needing belayers for the wall climbing if you know of or if you your self do the wall climbing give us a call at 250 624 9118
