Chances

what happened to fred??

fred is the manager

Craig Briere Still Involved ?

On February 27, 2008, West Coast Hospitality distributed a news release advising media outlets that they had entered into an agreement with the Terrace Lumber Company to purchase 20 acres of land to develop an entertainment complex along with other facilities. West Coast Hospitality is contracted by BCLC to operate both the Casino in Prince George and the gaming centre, Chances, in Prince Rupert. This has led many to believe, erroneously, that this company will be building a Casino here in Terrace.

FYI

B.P.P dont know shit FYI

Are you on crack?

Besides the news item I provided earlier (which seems to have been repeated three times now by others) there is the Chances PR website

chancespr.com/

On the website above is a banner ad, if you have a long enough attention span, you may notice that they run through the other “properties” that they currently operate, one of them is an ad for the Treasure Cove Hotel and Casino in Prince George…

So we figure it’s safe to say that even you, will figure out that they must own both properties.

Thus endeth the lesson

Can’t help but notice that there’s a few months between your posts of today and the last effort you offered up, maybe you have just come up for some sunlight or something

Craig is the owner, he also owns the treasure cove in PG, and the cost in rupert

And Fred is still the manager, and a real good guy to work for

Stupid is as stupid does…
lets go back to Kindergarden. Selling add space does nor constitite owning something!  Howver, I will ease your burden. They own and operate the Treasure Cove Hotel in PG, once again, nothing to do with the casino…

Onw

So how long do you post until you realize you are wrong…

Now read the following carefully, slowly perhaps so as to understand the meaning of the term “sister properties”

From the Treasure Cove Hotel and Casino website

"Travelling West? Visit our sister properties in beautiful Prince Rupert, BC…

Conveniently located in the heart of the downtown core. The Coast Prince Rupert Hotel offers quality, well-appointed guest rooms and suites with West Coast hospitality and services.

Travelling North East? Visit our sister properties in Fort St. John, BC or Grand Prairie, AB."

So now I guess we can add, Fort St. John and Grand Prairie to your list of places that have no affiliation with the Rupert operation…

Now I don’t see Terrace mentioned, so perhaps they aren’t involved in that particular operation, yet… though as could be discovered in the previous postings they were at one time exploring the possibility of building a casino/hotel/amusement complex on the old Terrace Lumber yards property.

To make that process more simplified here’s a TV 7 story on that project from 2008

cftktv.com/news/565/678045

And here’s an article from the Northern View about that connection between Terrace and Rupert that apparently never existed…

Chances owners strike a deal to purchase Terrace Lumber Company land
The Northern View
February 27, 2008

The owners of the new casino in Prince Rupert say they’ve struck a deal with the Terrace Lumber Company to buy 20 acres of its former sawmill site. And they say they have an option to purchase the remaining 53 acres that are up for sale.

WestCoast Hospitality Inc. says it wants to build a hotel, convention centre and entertainment complex on the 20 acres.

It says additional lands would be used for small retail, restaurants, box stores and residences.

In addition to the just-opened Chances casino in Prince Rupert, WestCoast Hospitality owns the Coast Hotel in Prince Rupert and it has a majority interest in the Treasure Cove Hotel in Prince George.

“Terrace has a tremendously bright future and with the developments in Prince Rupert (container port), Kitimat (Alcan) and mining to the north, Terrace is perfectly situated to continue to be the service centre of northwestern B.C.,” says WestCoast president Craig Briere.

From the Terrace Standard of 2008

Terrace mill lands proposal will cost millions
Terrace Standard

A HOTEL, convention centre and entertainment complex at a cost upwards of $40 million will mark the first phase of a transformation of the Terrace Lumber Company (TLC) lands from an industrial area, says the president of the company which has a deal to buy 20 acres and an option for the remaining 53 acres put up for sale last year.

Stores both large and small, restaurants and housing would follow in due course, says Craig Briere of WestCoast Hospitality, a Prince George-based gaming and hotel company.

“With this amount of land that is available you can create a brand new community. You have the chance to create your own island through a multitude of uses,â€

I guess two lines would be out of the question :imp:

Did they also purchased Solly’s and it’s liquor license?  Talking to a friend last night, she mentioned Solly’s and we both miss Solly’s and the ole Legion.  Anyone know what is going to become of the old Solly’s?    :unamused:[/quote]

How about the new executif chef?

In case you didn’t notice, this thread is a year old.
