first, “Better Desktop” – which is Novell’s attempt at the experiment I was talking about – getting your average joe to use Linux for common tasks. It’s a great site, 'cause it approaches this objectively (and you get to watch videos of people trying some common tasks on Linux). The goal, of course, is to make Linux better for your average joe, not just for us nerds:
