The BC Liberals have introduced the draft question which will be asked of British Columbians in September of 2011 (unless momentum builds to move up the voting date), seeking our guidance on the fate of the controversial HST program.
I have been reading some of the comments on the Tyee website and not everybody likes the wording.
The HST was a tax shift from businesses to consumers. Nothing in the wording suggests that that shift will be removed. If HST is not approved, the government is free to keep the shift by increasing the PST. Just another example of when the public thinks they have won, they really haven’t.
